Reflecting back seven years ago, I found myself in a 9-5 job, working four days a week. I had a young family waiting for me at home. While applying my skills and sharing knowledge with my then-current employer and her colleague, a moment of revelation struck. I realised that I possessed knowledge relevant to allied health providers that needed to be shared.

A niche existed, waiting to be explored, to assist allied health providers in navigating the extensive administrative tasks that come with running a business.

Fast forward to today, seven years later, I am engaged in what I am truly passionate about. I run a successful business that has earned recognition through various awards. My team now consists of six amazing mums (all with families), and we provide invaluable and informative support to our clients.

Like many other women and men with young families, I desired the flexibility to attend school events and appointments during the day without the burden of guilt. I wanted to be present for the significant milestones in my children’s lives.

Today, my children are no longer the little ones they used to be. Our youngest will be entering high school in 2023, but I can’t envision returning to the conventional 9-5, five-day-a-week office job for someone else. The role of a business owner suits me despite the obstacles that come with it at times, and I still love what I do.

Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, I have encountered remarkable individuals who have become lifelong friends and trusted business associates. I have experienced both exceptional and challenging employees, all of which contributed to my learning experience. Life and business are a mixture of ups and downs. There are moments when feelings of inadequacy creep in, but then you wake up one day and everything changes.  Your mindset evolves and you find myself once again loving what you do and cherishing the people you do it for.

This is a little about me, I would love to hear more about you and why you do what you do.
